Eric J. Gerritsen is a experienced international business development executive with over 25 years of experience scaling businesses across global markets—particularly in Asia. He has led cross-border ventures, structured international partnerships, and driven more than $1 billion in revenue and equity deals for the companies he has built and advised.

In 2019, Mr. Gerritsen founded Imperial Yellow Ventures Inc. (IYV), a venture development firm based in Victoria, BC, focused on the wellness economy.

Previously, he served as Senior Vice President, E-Commerce, Mobile & Asia Pacific for GlobalWide Media, an international performance marketing company with operations in Los Angeles, Hong Kong, London, and Victoria. There, he led revenue generation initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region and oversaw digital platform expansion into emerging markets.

Mr. Gerritsen was also the founder of Global Internet Advisors (GIA), a Palo Alto-based consulting firm helping digital companies scale internationally and monetize global traffic. He launched Global Seed Capital LLC, investing in high-growth tech ventures, including Agreement Express Inc., which was acquired by Frontier Capital in 2018. His more recent focus areas include blockchain technology and the wellness economy.

Earlier, he was VP of International at Lycos Inc., where he led the expansion of one of the world’s largest Internet media networks into 43 countries and 22 languages. His efforts culminated in Lycos’s $5.4 billion sale to Terra Networks S.A. of Spain.

Mr. Gerritsen has held senior roles and board positions in international joint ventures with Sumitomo, Mirae, and Singapore Telecom, and was instrumental in launching media and software ventures across Hong Kong, Canada, and the Asia-Pacific.

He holds a BA (Hons) in Philosophy from Queen’s University and is a frequent speaker on global digital strategy, venture development, and cross-border partnerships.
